ince Tupac died in 1996, more records have been released under his name than some artists release while alive.
There has been a foundation and an arts center created in his name, and people still mull over the events that led up to his shooting. Now, fans who still want to know more about Tupac's life and death may be able to have access to privileged details via the "Tupac Amaru Shakur Records Collection Act."
Georgia State Representative Cynthia McKinney introduced a bill before the US Congress that would require the National Archives to establish a "Tupac Amaru Shakur Records Collection." The bill, modeled after the "John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act," was based on the premise that "all government records related to the life and death of Tupac Amaru Shakur should be preserved for historical and governmental purposes."
